For many, owning their own business and being their own boss is just a dream. Making the decision to become self-employed isn’t an easy one and one that we often scare ourselves out of making.
Join us for a half day workshop dedicated to help those thinking of starting their own business or who have recently set one up.
The workshop will start by helping you establish if self-employment is for you and introduce you to the key steps you need to take towards running your own business. We then move onto the basic elements of researching an idea, through to business planning and finance. The workshop finishes with marketing and provides an insight into the ‘Enterprising Mindset’, there will be networking opportunities throughout the morning.
The workshop will be presented by Paul Smith, one of our most experienced business advisors at the Northamptonshire Growth Hub.
This workshop is delivered as part of the South East Midlands Start-up Programme (SEMSUP). The programme is led by Wenta and delivered in collaboration with its partners University of Northampton and University of Bedfordshire.
To be eligible to attend this workshop companies must:
– Be looking to start a business
– Be a start-up business within Northamptonshire with less than 12 months trading history
– Be a social enterprise within the South East Midlands
– Complete a registration form
