Central Bedfordshire Intensive Business Support

Are you a business owner in Central Bedfordshire whose business has been affected by the pandemic? Beginning in September 2021, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Central Bedfordshire who have been affected by Covid-19 will have access to an in-depth business support programme, designed to give you the help and support you need to continue to trade, adapt, diversify and grow.

In addition, SEMLEP have teamed up with Grant Thornton, one of the country’s leading professional services firms, to offer businesses in Central Bedfordshire the chance to receive free one-to-one help and guidance to help them build their business and fund their growth. Find out more here.


SMEs who join the programme will receive three in-depth sessions with a SEMLEP’s Growth Hub business adviser; one at the beginning of the programme, one as a mid point review and one at the end of the programme.


An in-depth assessment of the business’s current health, their challenges and their aspirations, formulating an action plan to be monitored and achieved over the six month programme.


Business will receive an invitation to apply for a grant of between £1,000 - £3,000 for use on specialist professional support from the local business community.


A mid-point assessment to review the action plan and achievements so far and to identify priority actions for the remaining part of the programme.


A final review will take place, identifying ongoing support opportunities and an action plan for the next 12 months.


Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) within Central Bedfordshire who have been impacted by the pandemic, and would like to receive in-depth support over a six-month period to aid their recovery and access some specialist expertise.

This programme is being delivered by SEMLEP’s Growth Hub on behalf of Central Bedfordshire Council, and funded by the Government’s Additional Restrictions Grants (ARG) scheme.

Please note that funding and places on the programme are limited and there are only a few places left. These will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis, and any other applicants will be added to a waiting list.
