About the scheme

The South East Midlands Kickstart Grant Scheme is closed for applications.

The purpose of these grants is to help businesses who have been affected by COVID-19 to deal with the initial impact and access specialist professional advice, equipment or technology to help rebuild and recover. 100% of the money will come from government with no obligation for businesses to contribute financially.

Grants of up to £5000 were available, although most grants will be in the range between £1,000-£3,000. One grant was specifically aimed at tourism and hospitality-related businesses, while the other was open to any small or medium-sized business impacted by the pandemic. Both grant types used the same application form which was available via this webpage from 9 am, Monday 14 September, until application capacity was met at 10:20am.

Approximately 200 grants were available in the SEMLEP area of Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes.
