It’s that time of year again. The clocks have gone back, ice-scrapers are out and toffee apples are on sale. A whiff of cordite is in the air and the sound of Slade is creeping into the shops. The holiday season will soon be upon us. It’s traditionally a time for the giving and receiving of gifts with family and friends, but one potential recipient you may have overlooked is your business.
You may feel that you already give enough of yourself to your business throughout the year and it’s about time that you got something in return. But we may just have an answer that satisfies both parties, give the gift of a Velocity grant!
There are two types of Velocity grant; revenue and capital and both are for small and medium-sized businesses which have been trading for more than 12 months.
Revenue grants can be used for business development projects such as; market research, telemarketing, website upgrades, marketing collateral, advertising, obtaining new quality accreditations, UK exhibitions, CRM systems and other ICT, low value equipment and hard-to-fill vacancies.
Capital grants can be used towards the purchase of production and test equipment and the refurbishment of buildings and grounds.
Velocity’s revenue grants provide funding between £1,000 and £10,000 and up to 33% of the total price of the goods or services. Capital grants provide funding between £1,250 and £50,000 and up to 25% of the total price. At least one new job must be created by the project for each £5,000 of grant that is provided.
Our grants have helped business owners to save time, to take advantage of new opportunities quickly, to introduce business improvements sooner than they expected and to increase sales and improve profitability. A great gift to them from the business.
