Inaugural Next Generation Business Awards success!

Five worthy winners were crowned at the inaugural Next Generation Business Awards on Friday night (5 July).

The glittering gala dinner, held at The Northampton Marriott, saw an impressive turnout from Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes, to support the 15 finalists.

Reece Hussain, of 123 Internet Group, was named the Creative Sector Star of the Year, with judges calling him an impressive, mature, strong all-rounder. The award was sponsored by Rapid GRC.

Hospitality Star of the Year, sponsored by Giggabox, went to career-focussed Allen Tew of Holiday Inn Express Kettering and Nathan Taylor-Allkins, of Woodfines Solicitors, who was described by the judges as a very professional team player, was awarded the Service Industry Star of the Year.

Nathan was also crowned Milton Keynes Star of the Year, sponsored by EMW Law.

Parm Bhangal, who celebrated his birthday on the night, took the prize for Northamptonshire Star of the Year, sponsored by Business Data Group.

Northamptonshire Chamber and Milton Keynes Chamber chief executive Paul Griffiths said: “What a fantastic evening celebrating the best of the best young and aspiring talent of Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes.

“We launched these awards to recognise inspiring young people whose achievements are making an impressive impact in their chosen field and it’s fair to say everyone who attended the awards ceremony was blown away by the calibre of the finalists.

“We’re proud to raise the profile of such brilliant young professionals and hope their awards success helps them as they continue along their paths to becoming the next generation of business leaders across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes.
