Supporting young people, transforming careers education

Help us bring quality careers information from the margins to the mainstream

You can’t be what you can’t see. For some young people in our region who are preparing to make the next step into employment, the transition is daunting.

Through our brilliant and growing network, we are making high quality careers information a reality, working in partnership to support young people to make confident, informed choices.

Our volunteer programmes have space for business professionals from Bedfordshire, Luton, Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire. Get in touch to find out more.

To raise awareness of opportunities for young people in our region, we currently facilitate two volunteer programmes as part of a national network of Careers Hubs.

Give an Hour

Be the role model who changes a young person’s life locally, just by showing what is possible. Our wonderful Give an Hour volunteers inspire and prepare young people for the world of work, creating new perspectives and inspiring new ideas.

Volunteering to share your knowledge, insights and experience is on an ad-hoc basis. Activities include careers talks, mock interviews, careers fairs, industry immersion days, work experience, small group visits to your workplace.

Become an Enterprise Adviser

Join a voluntary team of over 100 Enterprise Advisers to work with school and college leaders, and careers teams, to transform careers education provision.

Enterprise Advisers partner with a school or college for a one year period, offering careers education support as a consultant, critical friend and coach. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real and lasting impact in the community.

Help develop the workforce of the future

Work with us to help build the future talent pipeline for your business or industry, give back to the community, and make a difference to the future career choices a young person makes.
