Laurence Whitehead, Partner, MHA MacIntyre Hudson

Laurence heads up the firm’s multi award-winning M&A team and he has been awarded the CF designation by the ICAEW Corporate Finance Faculty in recognition of his M&A expertise. He is well connected in the corporate finance world, having previously been employed at one of the “Big 4” firms where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and became a Member of the Chartered Securities Institute. During this time, Laurence spent several years working on assignments in Russia and the Middle East and he also spent over a year working in the firm’s Private Equity Team and also its Russia Desk. Laurence’s main areas of specialism include private equity, corporate acquisitions & disposals, finance raising, management buy-outs, business valuations and M&A strategic planning.

Gary Johnson, Relationship Director, NatWest

Gary is a Director at NatWest, with over 35 years banking experience, currently responsible for supporting the vision & strategy of successful Medium Sized Enterprises, across the Milton Keynes & Bedfordshire areas.

For the past five years, he has also been responsible for leading the Bank’s regional strategy to support manufacturing businesses, working with a wide range of stakeholders to contribute valuable skills, resources & ideas.

Paul Smith, Director, Wealth Manager and Team Leader at Coutts

Paul is a highly experienced Wealth Manager based in the Cambridge office of Coutts Private Bank. He previously worked for HSBC for over 30 years where he qualified as a Financial Advisor and progressed to hold senior regional roles supervising and managing a team of advisors. At Coutts he looks after a varied portfolio of high net worth clients where he provides financial planning advice to suit their specific needs
