Job Title: Gateway Adviser
Intro: I joined SEMLEP in December 2017 as a Project Officer to support the delivery of the ERDF grants projects. My role developed to Gateway Adviser for the new Growth Hub to advise businesses within the SEMLEP region to gain access to the support they need to ensure growth of their business and the economy.
I originally lived in Birmingham and worked for a leading global property and construction consultancy company, as a project support administrator, particularly assisting with the data cleanse for ‘Primark’ stores undertaking renovation or new build all over the world. Prior to this I also worked for an IT consultancy business and one of the projects was for Birmingham Airport, assisting the project manager with putting in place a new user-friendly website and a new HR/payroll online system.
I particularly enjoy exploring the world and going on new adventures and am always looking forward to my next trip. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and mostly going to the gym, as it gives me a sense of satisfaction to be able to push my limits.
Career Highlight: An opportunity to support an international department based in the European headquarters in Germany for 3-4 months assisting in the financial department.
Business hero: “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do” – Steve Jobs. Although, he may not have been the nicest person, he did have a vision and made Apple the most profitable company in world today.Back
