Morning Session 9am – 1pm Development and Sustainability

9am Assemble at the Hat Factory for registration and refreshments

9.30am Welcome and Introduction followed by the Think Luton Investment and Sustainability panel with local developers. It will include key new development sites and upcoming contract opportunities

11am We will take a short walk to witness the formal opening of the Open Lea Pocket Park on the corner of Bute Street and Silver Street

Followed by an electric bus journey to the new Luton DART, where attendees will have a complimentary trip on the new state of the art DART

1pm Return journey via electric bus for Lunch & Networking at the Hat Factory, followed by the afternoon session

Afternoon Session 2pm – 5pm Think Luton, Think Business

2pm Introduction

2.15pm Panel session focused on how we can support local businesses through grants, our Employment and Skills Strategy, Apprenticeship Brokerage Scheme, Good Business Charter and business support programmes including Destination Digital and Generation Green as part of Luton 2040 and alongside our partners

3.00pm Breakout sessions

4:30pm Summary and 5pm Close

Getting here: Situated in the heart of Luton’s Hat District, the Hat Factory Arts Centre is a stone’s throw from Luton’s mainline train station. Car parking is available a short walk away at Bute Street Shoppers car park – LU1 2NQ – please note this is pay and display. There are also nearby e-car charging stations, bike racks and a bus station.
